→ For Serving

10 - Sweet chili sauce or soy sauce for dipping
11 - Chopped fresh chives or coriander

# How to Make It:

01 - In a medium bowl, combine cream cheese, spring onions, garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, white pepper, and salt. Mix until smooth and well combined.
02 - Place a wonton wrapper on a clean, dry surface. Spoon approximately 1 teaspoon of filling into the center.
03 - Dip your fingertip in water and moisten the edges of the wrapper. Fold into a triangle, pressing out any air and sealing the edges tightly.
04 - Bring the two bottom corners of the triangle together and seal with water to form a traditional wonton shape.
05 - Repeat filling and folding process with remaining wrappers and filling.
06 - Preheat air fryer to 350°F for 3 minutes.
07 - Lightly spray or brush the wontons with oil. Arrange in a single layer in the air fryer basket, working in batches if necessary.
08 - Air fry for 7 to 8 minutes, turning halfway through, until golden and crispy.
09 - Serve hot with sweet chili sauce or your preferred dipping sauce.

# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • They're ready in 35 minutes start to finish, which means you can go from craving to serving faster than most takeout.
  • The air fryer does the heavy lifting, so you get restaurant-quality crispiness without deep-frying and the lingering oil smell.
  • Once you nail the folding, you can prep these ahead and air fry them straight from the freezer whenever guests arrive.
02 -
  • Don't overfill the wontons or they'll leak and burst in the air fryer, leaving you with a mess and sadness.
  • The water seal is actually important—skip it and your wontons will unfold mid-cook, which I learned the hard way and regretted.
  • If you're prepping these ahead, freeze them first before air frying, because they cook perfectly from frozen without any extra time.
03 -
  • If you want extra shine and crispiness, brush the wontons with beaten egg white before air frying instead of just oil.
  • Stack them in the air fryer basket gently—they don't need room to flip around wildly, just enough air circulation to cook evenly.
