05 - Sprinkle the remaining cheddar and mozzarella cheese evenly over the casserole surface.
06 - Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until the casserole is bubbly and golden brown on top.
07 - Remove from oven and allow to rest for 5 minutes before serving.

# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • It comes together in less time than you'd spend ordering takeout, yet tastes like you've been cooking all day.
  • The combination of three cheeses creates layers of flavor that somehow feel decadent without being heavy.
  • Leftovers actually taste better the next day when the flavors have had time to meld together.
02 -
  • Don't skip steaming the broccoli first—raw broccoli won't soften enough during baking and will taste raw.
  • The cream cheese needs to be softened or it won't blend smoothly with the other ingredients; cold cream cheese creates lumps.
03 -
  • Cook your chicken the day before so assembly on dinner night takes literally 10 minutes—this dish is the ultimate weeknight lifesaver when everything is prepped.
  • If your casserole is looking too pale after 25 minutes, crank the heat to 200°C (425°F) for the last few minutes to get that golden top.
